Happy 4th of July from Levi

Mommy and Levi got into the 4th of July spirit today--dressed in red, white and blue! I took the time to tell him about the meaning of Independence Day and why we celebrate. He responded by drooling and spitting up on my leg. True American boy :~).



BTW: Yesterday, he started saying Mama. Could this be his first word?!?!?!?! Also, he laughs hysterically when Attila says Apa (Hungarian for Dad).

PS. We are in our new apartment in Vecsés. God provided an awesome place for us. Once we are moved in and the place is presentable, I will post some pics for your viewing pleasure! For now you'll just have to enjoy these pictures of our lovely boy

I've been wanting to post these pictures that a friend of ours, Andy Isbell, who is a professional photographer, took while we were still back in the US. We think they turned out great. Thanks Andy!

We're back!!!

We've been back in Hungary for almost 2 weeks now. Its hard to believe. We've been pretty busy just catching up with people and getting settled in at our temporary home in Budafok. We've decided to buy a family car--a 2000 Opel Zafira--which will allow us to have 7 seats when we need them and when we don't we'll have a nice big trunk space. We're looking for an apartment or house in Vecsés but we haven't had much luck so far. God has been reminding me that HE is my dwelling place and its in HIM that I find my security. We are comfortable in this temporary living space and are thankful that God provided it for us!
Levi is doing well. He adjusted to the time change really well and is sleeping 10 hours again at night. We think he's teething so sometimes he's a bit cranky but, in general, we're all doing really well!

A good weekend

This weekend we had the joy of having a college friend of mine, Jay Lynn, spend the weekend with us. She lives in Seattle and she came all the way out to MI to see us! We had a wonderful time chatting and it was truly good for my soul. A mutual friend of ours, Dawn, who lives about an hour north of us, picked her up at the airport and we had a little mini Taylor reunion in my living room. It was really fun!

On Sunday we dedicated our sweet Levi to the LORD. My sisters, Grace and Maria, have also both had babies in the last year and so we dedicated our children together. It was a really special time. Our prayer for Levi is that "He would grow in wisdom and stature and favor with God and men" (Luke 2:52) just as Jesus did.

2 weeks

We are now in the mad dash of preparing to return to Hungary in 2 short weeks. We are very much looking forward to it, though of course we are sad to think of leaving our family and friends here in the States. For those of you who don't know, we are moving to Vecsés, which is a suburb of Budapest, when we return to Hungary. We are excited about this new phase of life and ministry and are looking forward to seeing what God has in store for us in this new city!

Happy birthday my love!

Tomorrow is Attila's 32nd birthday! I can hardly believe that I've known my wonderful husband for 6 years! I am so blessed to share my life with him!

Two weeks ago we celebrated by going to Chicago, which is one of our favorite cities in the world. Below are a couple of pics from our trip.
