Gratitude

This song reflects my heart today.
It left me weeping-- longing to know God more, to love Him more, to trust Him more.

Thank you, Jesus.

Levi-10 months, Mommy-33 years

In the last two days we have passed two milestones: Levi's 10 month birthday and Tamara's 33rd birthday. My, my, how time flies...

I love fall!

We have been loving the beautiful fall weather. I think this has been one of the most beautiful autumns that I've experienced in Hungary. Though Vecsés is very close to Budapest, it very much has a small town feel and we love walking to the local Farmer's market and post office. Here are some pictures of a recent Sunday afternoon walk.

Funny slipper

One morning Levi decided to play with one of my slippers.
Right now, Levi is obsessed with slippers of all kinds.

Falling hard

It's been a long time, I know. I am trying get out of my blog writing block by just posting something in hopes that it will inspire more profound thoughts in upcoming days. After all, it is fall, a time for new beginnings. So until I come up with something brilliant to write, here are some of our latest pictures of our lovely 8 month old guy. He's keeping us busy and filling our days with laughter and joy.

Levi's favorite new toys are a metal mixing bowl and a wooden spoon. Who needs all those expensive toys when all you need to do is raid the kitchen cupboard?

Levi loves being in the water.

.
I just can't resist that sweet kissable face.

Some new pictures

As I write Levi is happily jumping in his God-provided door-jamb jumper. Though at first it scared me a bit, he loves it and it now seems safe enough. I have to say, I am falling more in love with this little guy every day. He is wonderfully curious. He has a sweet, charming personality. His smiles melt me. We are blessed. Thank you, LORD.
Also, he now sits independently and has his two bottom teeth. He barely lets us get a look at them, so no pictures of them yet.

My little dilemma

Levi started eating "real food" a few weeks ago and I, deciding to be ambitious, have been making all of his baby food (except the rice cereal). So here's my dilemma: part of the process of making his food is freezing cubes of it in ice cube trays. I bought these cool ice cube trays at Ikea and they are perfect--just the right size and they are flexible so I can push the cubes out really easily.
Here's the catch: the other day as I was making his "food cubes", I realized that in small letters on the ice cube trays is written "for water only". So, I'm asking you, any idea why it might say that? The ice cube trays are made from synthetic rubber, which as I've looked on the internet, seems to be safe for food. Other ice cube trays of this sort from other companies don't have the same warning. Seems to me that if it's safe to use them for water, it should be safe to use them for food. And yet, the warning...
What do you think: should I stop using them?
